How We Do This:
JAM currently provides nutritional assistance to approximately 800 000 beneficiaries across all seven countries of operation, namely Angola, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, South Africa, South Sudan, Uganda and Rwanda.
Our initiatives include:
- School Feeding Programmes
- Malnutrition Clinics (Outpatient Therapeutic Centres)
- School, Community & Kitchen Gardens
When entering a community, JAM starts with the most basic of needs, food.
This has over time evolved into more complex yet sustainable initiatives. Our focus has been to ensure that communities are not only fed, but that their long term nutritional needs are met.
JAM tailors programming according to what is required for a specific community in order to increase food security and ensure community upliftment at the same time.
We balance the urgency to alleviate hunger here and now with the broader objectives of achieving food security, improving nutrition and promoting sustainable agriculture.
